Hargrove & Associates Recipient of PEP Award

Hargrove and Associates, Inc. was awarded the Positive Environmental contribution award at the Partners for Environmental Progress (PEP) awards ceremony on May 10, 2006. This award was given in recognition of the renovation of 210 South Washington, and the manner in which the renovation was accomplished, including using less new construction materials, providing a net increase in green space and trees, and retrofitting with additional insulation and roofing, energy efficient windows and environmental control systems. Also, redesigning the storm water system to alleviate flooding of neighboring properties and streets, and integrating the existing brickwork with new metal siding and trim. As mentioned in the PEP brochure, "This building has become a model of selective re-use of blighted properties in the area."
